Rooms and Amenities

Do we have to have an advance reservation to check in?
We do accept guests who walk in without a reservation and request a room. You will need a valid credit card to put on the room when you arrive. At checkout, you may pay with cash or another form of payment if desired. The credit card will be authorized for $30 per night for a standard room or $250 per night for a suite, in addition to taxes and parking fees. If you choose to pay for the room with the credit card it will also be authorized for the price of the room and tax for each night, in addition to the incidental charges listed above.

May I pay with my debit card?
Debit cards are treated the same as credit cards. Your debit card will be authorized for total room and tax, plus $30 for incidentals. This action will hold the funds in your checking account until the transaction is processed by your bank within 3 to 5 business days after departure.

May I pay with my personal check or cash?
Personal checks and cash are accepted as payment. At check in, we will collect the amount for the room, tax and parking for all nights of your stay and suggest you provide a debit/credit card for incidentals. If a debit/credit card are not provided for incidentals upon arrival, a security deposit of at least $250.00 will be assessed. Any refunded amount will be provided back to you upon departure once an inspection of your hotel guest room is conducted. Any personal check deposits will be refunded back to you through an Amway Grand Plaza Hotel check typically within 10 days.

When is check in/out?
Check in time is 4 p.m. Check out time is 11 a.m.

Are there personal appliances in the rooms?
Each room is outfitted with an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer.

Can I make coffee in my room?
Coffee makers are availabile in all our guest rooms. Coffee is also available in the lobby from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. before Cornucopia opens or via 24-hour room service.

How much are phone calls?
Local phone calls are $1.00 for the first hour; 0.15 per minute thereafter. There's no charge for toll-free calls.

Do you allow pets?
No pets are allowed in the hotel. We do, however, allow certified service animals who assist disabled guests.

What is your smoking policy?
We are a smoke-free hotel. All guest rooms, suites, guest corridors and all public areas are smoke-free environments. This includes all guest rooms, balconies, patios, stairwells, meeting spaces, restaurants, lounges and public areas. A room refresh fee minimum of $250 will be assessed for smoking in our guest rooms, guest corridors and all public areas. A minimum fee of $500 will be assessed for smoking in our suites.

Does the hotel have quiet hours?
Yes, quiet hours are observed on all guest room floors from 12 a.m until 7 a.m.

Can you accommodate wheelchairs?
Yes, we offer barrier-free rooms.

Can I get a rollaway?
A limited number of rollaways are available complimentary upon request on a first come first serve basis. Max: 1 per standard room and 2 per suite.

Can I get a refrigerator in my room?
All our suites, Concierge level, and Glass Tower rooms already come standard with refrigerators. Additional refrigerators are available complimentary in limited quantities for all other room types upon request.

How much is parking for registered hotel guests?
$16 per night for self-parking
$25 per night for valet parking
(Both allow 24-hour in-and-out access)

Are both valet and self-parking available?
Valet and self-parking are available to overnight guests. Valet parking is located in the motor lobby off of the Pearl Street entrance. Self-parking is available in the Amway Grand Parking Ramp. The Amway Grand Parking Ramp entrance is located on Pearl Street across from the motor lobby.

Where is the motor lobby/main hotel entrance located?
If heading south on Monroe Street, make a right onto Pearl Street to locate valet and self-parking. If headed north on Monroe Street, make a left onto Pearl Street to locate valet and self-parking

Is parking for oversized vehicles available?
Yes, oversized vehicle parking is available. Please proceed to the motor lobby for directions to our oversized lot.

Can I earn air miles for my stay?
The hotel participates in the Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide's United Airlines Mileage Plus and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.

What are the Plaza Fitness Center hours?
Our newly renovated and expanded Plaza Fitness Center is located on the Glass Tower side of the hotel, on the fourth floor. It features an indoor swimming pool, hot tubs, sauna, full-service locker rooms, full cardio workout facilities, tennis courts, a racquetball court, dumbbells and weights.

Fitness center hours:
Monday - Friday: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

When is the Plaza Business Center open?
The Plaza Business Center is available 24 hours a day.

Where can I secure my valuables?
There are safety deposit boxes available at the front desk.

What special services do you offer?
Spa and Salon services are available as well as in-room massages per our Suite Spa system. Also, flowers and gifts can be arranged prior to arrival through our concierge.

What rewards programs are available?
The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel is a member of the iPrefer Guest Benefit Program. iPrefer is free to sign up for and is accepted at over 500 hotels and resorts in over 65 countries.
